Christmas in August - ReStore Sale

For the entire month of August, Granville County Habitat
for Humanity will not only be selling brand new building
products and used furniture/appliances at their Re-
Store, but they will also be selling Christmas items as
well. Items that can be purchased in the “Christmas in
August” sale include Christmas tree ornaments,
indoor/outdoor decorations, lights, and collectibles.
The Habitat Re-Store is located at 500 West Industry
Drive in Oxford and is open most Tuesdays/Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to the general public.

 Hannah Faith Partners with GCHFH

GCHFH is teaming up with Hannah Faith, a nine year old girl from Oxford whose parents are Zaye and Melonie Brewer. Hannah is a Christian Country artist who released her first single to radio in January 2010. She even has a CD where a portion of the money from the sale of her CD will be given to GCHFH so the next Habitat home can be built in Oxford. The cost of the CD is $10.00.  Belk Charity Day!

The Spring 2010 Belk Charity Day is scheduled for
May 1st from 6am-10am. This event is a
unique way for organizations to raise money and for
Belk to give back to the community. Participating
organizations will recieve fliers and tickets (free of
charge) for an additional 20%-50% off at all Belk
stores. These tickets will be sold for $5 dollars
each. 100% of proceeds from ticket sales goes
directly to organization who sells them. The
customer, in return, receives the additional discount
on their purchases as well as $5 off their first
purchase. Purchasers of the $5.00 tickets can go to
any Belk store between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The
closest Belk store is in Henderson, NC but there
are Belk stores in Roanoke Rapids, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Zebulon, Cary, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Burlington, NC, AND in Virginia, in Danville and South Boston.

Can your church, business, community group, or neighborhood association host a car wash?  Then, inform of Executive Director, Mark Prokop, of your idea so he can promote it.
